Give a Financial Gift

Help support the work of The Samaritan Inn by donating to our Giving Grace Holiday Campaign.

Sponsor & Serve a Meal

Help support the Inn by financially sponsoring and serving a meal. Meal times are 11am and 5pm. Please note that Thanksgiving and Christmas Day meals are sponsored and there are no available serve opportunities on those dates.

Donate Gift Cards

For Christmas each year, we provide our residents with gift cards so they can purchase gifts for their family. Help us give this gift to our residents by donating $20 or $25 Target or Walmart gift cards. Gift cards can be dropped off at the shelter at 1514 N. McDonald Street daily from 9am-6pm.

Organize a Donation Drive

Organize and collect needed items for the Inn. Contact the volunteer office for a donations calendar that highlights all of our needed donations for the months of November, December, and January.

Make Holiday Wreaths

Help us decorate The Samaritan Inn! We would love to have Fall and Winter wreaths for our residents’ doors. You can help us by making a set of 15 wreaths.

Notes of Encouragement

Write a note of kindness to our residents to encourage them this Holiday Season. This is a great activity to involve the entire family! When you have completed your notes, please deliver them to 1514 N. McDonald Street between the hours of 9am-6 pm.

Stocking Stuffer Donations

We distribute Christmas stockings to each resident of The Inn. You can help us accomplish this by purchasing items for our stockings. We would like for you to purchase multiples of one item (ex. 65 small flashlights, squish toys, decks of cards). Please contact the volunteer office for available stocking stuffers.

Sponsor and Serve a Holiday Snack or Dessert

Everybody loves a special holiday treat! Help us provide special holiday goodies to our residents at our daily snack time at 3pm or dessert at 6pm. Ideas can include a hot chocolate bar, a decorate your own cookie station, or popcorn with special toppings! Schedule your spot on our calendar today!

Participate in Our Holiday Serve Event

The Holiday Season at The Samaritan Inn is continuing into the New Year! Individuals (10 years of age and older) can participate in our Holiday Serve Event on January 2nd, from 10am-1pm.

Host a Hot Chocolate Stand

Do you have young children who want to do something to support The Samaritan Inn this Holiday Season? Host a hot chocolate stand in your neighborhood!

Make Hygiene Bags

Each new individual or family that qualifies to stay at The Samaritan Inn receives a new hygiene kit upon arrival. This kit meets their immediate needs, and the items are replenished as needed. Please contact the volunteer office for a complete list of items and instructions. If you are unable to put together kits, individual donations of new full-sized toiletry items are appreciated.

Make Linen Bags

Each new individual or family that qualifies to stay at The Samaritan Inn receives a new linen bag upon arrival. The bags include sheets, pillowcases, hand towels, wash cloths, and bath towels. Please contact the volunteer office for a complete list of items and instructions. If you are unable to put together kits, individual donations of new towels, wash cloths, sheets, and blankets are appreciated.
