Summer learning for children experiencing homelessness is essential because homelessness significantly impacts children’s development, leading to various physical, emotional, and academic challenges. Without access to consistent education, safe spaces, and enriching experiences, many kids fall further behind academically and emotionally during the summer months.
At The Samaritan Inn, our Summer Enrichment Program is so vital. It’s more than activities and camps, it’s a lifeline. A chance for healing, growth, learning, and fun in a safe, supportive environment.
With your support, we can give our children the summer they deserve!
- $5,000 provides funds for 5 children to attend 5 summer camps
- $2,500 provides admission for 30 kids to visit a museum or sports camp
- $1,000 provides summer essentials, activities, and enrichment for 1 child
- $500 provides transportation for 30 kids to go on a field trip
- $250 provides summer essentials and backpacks for 30 kids
- $100 provides 60 snack bags for kids attending summer camps
