Dennis Seeman is an accomplished Finance and Operations leader with finely honed skills in building departments and centers of excellence within top-tier companies. As a seasoned professional with years of experience in the for-profit world, Dennis embarked on a transformative journey into the nonprofit industry and is currently Controller of the Samaritan Inn. This transition was driven by a desire to align his passion with purpose, and it led him to discover new skills and perspectives. He has a thirst for impact, and his commitment to resolving the homelessness crisis fuels his work. Joining the nonprofit sector wasn’t just a career shift—it was a calling, a chance to create meaningful change.

His strategic approach to improving company operations is reflected in his work as Senior Vice President of Citi, where his concept creation and focus on strategic initiatives quickly delivered impressive operational results. His turnaround capability is highlighted by his accomplishments as Senior Vice President of Travelers, where he led a distressed operation to record operational results through a major shift in strategic direction that included organization realignment, retooling, workflow redesign, and linking segments of the organization to the strategy through a balanced scorecard.
Dennis’ exceptional track record of operational improvement is based on his success in driving change throughout an organization. He is known for his ability to quickly identify and diagnose issues that impede the organization’s success, quickly affect operational change, and monitor improvements and ongoing results.
Dennis received his MBA from Southern Methodist University and BBA from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He briefly taught accounting at the Keller Graduate School of Management and served 2 years on the United Way Allocations Committee. He is a Certified Public Accountant and has held officer-level positions in various professional organizations.
