A Safe Step Between Shelter and Independence
For individuals and families who have completed our residential program and are ready for the next step, the North Texas Gateway Apartments provide supportive transitional housing designed to turn progress into long-term stability. Residents move into fully furnished apartments at reduced rent while continuing to build financial security, career stability, and life skills with ongoing support from our team.
Leaving structured shelter and jumping straight into market-rate housing can be overwhelming. Gateway Apartments create a smooth transition that helps residents move forward with confidence and continue the momentum they’ve worked hard to build.
Residents apply after graduating from our residential program, move into a Gateway apartment, and continue working toward independence until they are ready to launch into permanent housing equipped with the skills, savings, and confidence to thrive.

Gateway Apartments provide affordable, reduced-rent housing in fully furnished units so residents can focus on stability rather than basic needs. Participants continue receiving counseling, job support, financial education, and connections to community resources as they practice independent living.
The program balances independence with accountability. Residents work toward stable employment, savings growth, budgeting and credit improvement, and long-term housing readiness in a supportive environment designed to reduce the risk of returning to homelessness.
Transitional housing helps bridge the gap between shelter and independence—replacing uncertainty with stability, isolation with support, and dependency with empowerment.
