Cooper’s Corner Groundbreaking Event

Join The Samaritan Inn as we celebrate the expansion of Cooper’s Corner, home to one of our most unique programs—PAWS (Pets Are Welcome to Stay). For more than 15 years, the PAWS program has provided on-site kennels, pet food, and veterinary care on our 15-acre campus, removing a major barrier that often prevents individuals experiencing homelessness from seeking shelter.

With the support of a generous three-year, $900,000 grant from The Stephens Greth Foundation, Cooper’s Corner is growing to include housing for cats and increasing total capacity to 28 pets (16 dogs and 12 cats). The new 1,366-square-foot kennel facility will feature enhanced play areas, bathing stations, and laundry services—allowing us to serve more families while preserving the life-changing bond between residents and their animals.

As this program grows, we are also seeking dedicated volunteers to help care for pets and support daily operations.
